Welcome to our little slice of paradise! Clear Lake Shores is probably one of the best kept secrets in the entire Bay Area. Yes we are an island. We are surrounded by Clear Lake, Jarbo Bayou and the Lazy Bend canals. Plug this in to Google Maps and you'll see what I mean 29.32' by 95.01' We are about half way between Galveston Island and the city of Houston and located in north Galveston county. I will try to keep us up on all the goings on that we can walk, boat, bike or drive our golf carts to. Very few things pi$$ me off but one of them is wasting my precious time. I'll try not to waste yours. Enjoy. ab

National Wear Red day

Or National Frozen Yogurt day. Your choice.

From the Civic Club meeting last night:
The Carti Gras Parade is Saturday. That’s tomorrow and this year’s theme I’m told is The Wizard of Oz. Have a shot and let your imagination run wild. I’m sure the line up will be in the usual place, that being the newly renovated and entirely awesome Paul Shelley Pavilion. They are looking for judges so if you are interested please please please contact President Debbie. And yes, there will be prizes for First Second and Kids. Slight pause here to give a shout out to neighbor Rob Scherer who made all the upgrades to the pavilion and to Councilman Bryan Hoerner for spearheading the project. Bravo Zulu  men. The other thing that came out of the meeting is what the Club Charges for events. This is a heads up but only for a few of you. If you are NOT a member your price will be a tad higher. About 50% higher. Makes it a worthy investment if you attend more than one Club event. That said ManCakes is on It will be Saturday the 14th and if your dues are in place it will be a whopping $5 for adults and $3 for under 12. Team Mancakes will begin serving at 8 and will continue to do so until 11 or we run out. See you there.
