May the Fourth be with you!
OK I feel safe enough to say its Spring. What a gorgeous weekend it has been. ANd what better way to kick it off than Jammin' with the Level One Band. You just gotta love that motown sound. What a crowd pleaser. And what a crowd!
So what do you think about the City Looking for a new motto? Someone thinks the old Yachting Captitol of Texas is in need of an update. Some think it needs to stay put. I think the Yachting Capitol of Texas is more of a title than a motto. It's a statement. A fact of sorts. A motto is more of "a phrase meant to summarize the general motivation or intention of a social group or organization" (thanks wiki). With that I'm going to submit "It's where you want to be". What's yours?
You only have a few more days to register for the IWGarage Sale. It's only $5 bucks and yes you do have to register. It's only fair and the $5 is used to pay for all the advertising in the local papers and new signs when needed. Don't get all cheap and try to jones out of this. The IWGS raises a lot of money for Your Civic Club so it is for a good cause to boot.
