Welcome to our little slice of paradise! Clear Lake Shores is probably one of the best kept secrets in the entire Bay Area. Yes we are an island. We are surrounded by Clear Lake, Jarbo Bayou and the Lazy Bend canals. Plug this in to Google Maps and you'll see what I mean 29.32' by 95.01' We are about half way between Galveston Island and the city of Houston and located in north Galveston county. I will try to keep us up on all the goings on that we can walk, boat, bike or drive our golf carts to. Very few things pi$$ me off but one of them is wasting my precious time. I'll try not to waste yours. Enjoy. ab

36 hours to go....

I just wanted to let you know that we collected 140 stuffed animals for the Harbor View Nursing Home Residents. I gathered my elves on Christmas Morning. Sarah and Brittany (on the piano) led the group in Christmas Carols, while Kendall and I went room to room distributing stuffed animals to those that were bed bound. We wished each person a Merry Christmas!
A big THANK YOU to all who donated!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and yours, from Team Elf

Recycle that tree!
Citizens can recycle their Christmas trees at the League City recycling center at 1535 Dickinson Ave. A sign will indicate for the trees to be placed on the ground next to the recycling bins. Please do not put trees in any recycling bins as street department will be picking them up and mulching.

Apsens for New Years Eve. Live music till 9 and a DJ till 2. Ring in the New Year with a Midnight Toast!

Happy 2014 CLS.

AB, Thanks for keeping the blog going. It won't be long until the political season is upon CLS. Granted, NS pretty much scrapped the bottom of the barrel last election, but you never know...

Craig, Thanks for keeping the party of the year going with your chili cook off. Good to know the date well in advance.

Will there be a soup cook off this year? Sure missed it last year. January would be perfect for it. If there is one, I hope we can buy the recipes again. Yum.
