Welcome to our little slice of paradise! Clear Lake Shores is probably one of the best kept secrets in the entire Bay Area. Yes we are an island. We are surrounded by Clear Lake, Jarbo Bayou and the Lazy Bend canals. Plug this in to Google Maps and you'll see what I mean 29.32' by 95.01' We are about half way between Galveston Island and the city of Houston and located in north Galveston county. I will try to keep us up on all the goings on that we can walk, boat, bike or drive our golf carts to. Very few things pi$$ me off but one of them is wasting my precious time. I'll try not to waste yours. Enjoy. ab

Next is a baking question. That’s right baking. The recipe goes blah, blah, blah, punch down the dough, cover and let blah, blah, blah. What happens if I don’t punch down the dough? Enquiring minds……

Huge Thanks to Ronnie Richards and the EDC Team for all your hard work and time on the Town Center Project. We voted for it years ago and it’s finally going to take wing. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Mardi Gras Parade and gathering is on for February 9th. Chief Cook will have an escort for our golf carts and we are lining up for a Red Beans and Rice extravaganza in the Club house afterwards.
Don’t wait until the last minute to decorate your golf cart I hear there’s gonna be a trophy!

Many have come and tried their luck
And some have won a few
But now the trophy is in the hands
Of a master chef named stu

Noteable accomplishments over the years

Rob and Allan have both won four times.

Diane Cronister is the only back to back winner

Years ago lady from Belgium who had never tasted chili
Entered and won second place

One year Raynel won first, second and third place with her three entries.

One time a white chili won ?????

No one has ever been hospitalized after eating Allan's chili.

Only six people have ever signed a petition to stop the party

Stu is the youngest winner in the party's history

Stus dad has never won but has come in second more times than anyone else

Am I missing anything

I may be wrong but Stewie's dad for for second with ....himself two years ago. And who were the six that signed a petition?

Rob Scherer said...

Ron Dyer was approached while walking to the party last Saturday and was asked to sign a petition to stop the party he was going to. Go figure

Date and time for Mancake Breakfast?

I won't mention their names Alan but if you stand on my porch and look North, South and West you might see them. That was last year. I don't think anyone signed my southern neighbors petition this year

Rob. Like Alan always says. " you can't make this stuff up"

Many of you know Wanda and Glen and Wanda's wonderful dad Frank. From Wanda - today, my parents church, Nassau Bay Baptist, called to let him know the steeple for the new sanctuary arrived. He was so excited. He bought it in mom's memory. They will erect it either Friday or Monday. We will be there to watch and take pictures. Can't wait. I would LOVE to see a turnout to support Frank and to remember his wife - Wanda's Mom. I will post when I get more info. Good job Frank!!
