Now what to do next.....
Welcome to our little slice of paradise! Clear Lake Shores is probably one of the best kept secrets in the entire Bay Area. Yes we are an island. We are surrounded by Clear Lake, Jarbo Bayou and the Lazy Bend canals. Plug this in to Google Maps and you'll see what I mean 29.32' by 95.01' We are about half way between Galveston Island and the city of Houston and located in north Galveston county. I will try to keep us up on all the goings on that we can walk, boat, bike or drive our golf carts to. Very few things pi$$ me off but one of them is wasting my precious time. I'll try not to waste yours. Enjoy. ab

My day in court.
Well, well, well. First I want to thank all of you who showed up for your support. Heck even if you just showed up for the show. Not sure about you but I had fun. And between me and you it was a lot better outcome than what I had anticipated. In all honesty I had been advised not to expect much. I was expecting the Judge, The Honorable Miles Whittington, to explain to me in small words that the fact that I was actually arrested lies directly with the Police. Our Police. At least that was the thought of an attorney familiar with the case. Instead the Judge explained to me the error of my filing and suggested this sounded a whole lot more like Slander than anythng else. Slander is a fun word. He informed me that it was up to me to let the Great State of Texas know if I had a beef to settle with our Police. I would say the best part was when he told me to take my case back and "tighten it up a bit and be more specific". But that wouldn't be right because there were so many other best parts. Like when I explained that this case was nothing more than small town politics gone sour. The gasps from the other side of the room made me smile and I could be wrong but I thought I saw him holding back a smirk. It was good to see Mr. Fuller out and about. I wonder what he expected to see. I wonder if anyone else caught sight of the defendant reaching critical mass outside because her lawyer was late. I'd give a dollar for that on Youtube. That would definately fit in to the best part category. I guess my real favorite part was something overheard from the defendant. Allow me to paraphrase " for a drunk he sure has a lot of power" and from one of the guys with her " yeah, we need to fix that" I'll let you fill in the blanks. The more I say the word Slander the more I like it. Slander. Slanderer. Slanderous, Slanderousness. And that goes so well with another favorite, Libel. And bingo! That ties up everyone in to one nice, neat little CLSTIDY package. But before I go I have to mention my last best part. That was the part offered to the Judge by her attorney when he suggested this whole thing would be better classified as Malicious Prosecution. Is THAT a great phrase OR WHAT?! I love this place. See you around the Island!
