Welcome to our little slice of paradise! Clear Lake Shores is probably one of the best kept secrets in the entire Bay Area. Yes we are an island. We are surrounded by Clear Lake, Jarbo Bayou and the Lazy Bend canals. Plug this in to Google Maps and you'll see what I mean 29.32' by 95.01' We are about half way between Galveston Island and the city of Houston and located in north Galveston county. I will try to keep us up on all the goings on that we can walk, boat, bike or drive our golf carts to. Very few things pi$$ me off but one of them is wasting my precious time. I'll try not to waste yours. Enjoy. ab

200 very long days....

Just when you thought  someone sobered up….
T.J.Aulds, Galveston County Daily News
One unnamed Houston Chronicle reporter. I stood by her last July listening to her assurances that at any moment an unnamed Councilman was going to drop a bomb related to “an investigation”. I guess she never wrote anything because as it turned out there wasn’t much to write about.
Here’s the latest.
Hello Ms. Mericle:
This will serve as my formal request under the Texas Public Information Act, Texas Government Code, §552.001 (hereafter "the Act"). I am submitting this request via e-mail after visiting the city's website.   If you need this request submitted by regular mail or in any other format, please let me know and I will promptly submit it in that format.
This request is for copying and production of the following material within the timeframe spelled out by the Texas Government Code §552.221:
Monthly statements for any city credit card that is assigned to City Administrator Paul Shelley, from and including July 2010 through present date.

Specifically, we are requesting this information for any credit card that is either carried by or utilized by this employee for charges related to city business.   If a personal credit card is used in this manner and then submitted for payment to the city, we are requesting any statements that are submitted as part of the reimbursement request process for the above mentioned time frame.
While we would agree to the full credit card number or any home address being redacted, we would request that any and all other deletions be submitted to the Texas Attorney General for an opinion, pursuant to the Act.
As you know, the Act provides that if portions of a document are exempt from release, the remainder must be segregated and disclosed.
Since some of the documents may be more readily available than others, please provide the documents that are available as soon as possible without waiting to provide access to all documents.
The law (Tex. Gov't Code §552.261[a]) states that fees can be waived in the interest of serving the public. If that is not possible, I promise to pay reasonable search and duplication fees. If you estimate that the total fee will exceed $50.00, please notify me so that I may authorize that expenditure.
If you have any questions regarding this request please call me at (713) 778-4946 or fax (713) 771-4930.
My mailing address is: Stephen Dean

I look forward to hearing from you within the 10-day deadline imposed by the Act.

Stephen Dean

Wow, someone needs to get a life!!

Oh come on, we wouldn't want Tami to get bored now, would we? Her goal in life is to stir up trouble EVERYWHERE-from Stewart PTA to her next door neighbors who had to move because of her (and now her other next door neighbors are moving, too-coincidence?) to the entire community she resides in. She's too self- centered to see the common denominator. Paul needs to sue her.

Seriously, is there no end to the ways this group will try to divide our island? If the last $60k+ investigation proved anything negative about Shelly it was while he may skirt the lines he does not cross them. So now we can look forward to some additional negative press for our little slice of paradise, and we have the 3 stooges on council to thank for this. Do they not get it? Their job is to improve our quality of life and make a good name of our town. Not drag it through the mud and waste money on their silly unfounded witch hunts! Really just resign, your days are numbered anyway.

Check out this ambulance chaser's bio. He has a hard on for police departments. And is it just me or is there about a dozen too many references to hidden cameras? Sounds more like a stalker to me....

Dear Mr. Stephen Dean with Houston Chronicle: You can save yourself lots of money for xerox fees by getting the copies of all this stuff from Bernie McIntyre. He had already done an OPen Records Request months ago for these items and he recently picked up 4 boxes of receipts. Us citizens have paid our City Attorney around $15,000 to review all these receipts, you it would save us citizens money for them not to have to be reviewed again. Thank you, Roselyn Pierce

Dear Mr. Stephen Dean, Part II. This is also starting to "smell" like part of the Kemah debacle from last year, where there was a witch hunt to get their Mayor. I think Wayne Dolcefino finally dropped it when he realized it was going nowhere, he even removed one of his stories from Channel 13's website when he was put on notice he would be sued by Bill King for even mentioning his name.

I suggest you call John Kincaid who was the FBI agent that spent all last year trying to find something illegal on Kemah and Clear Lake Shores. He is running for Sheriff now. He could probably enlighten you where this witch hunt is coming from and save yourself some time and embarrassment.

I suppose the Galveston Daily News quit listening to the North Shore Cartel as would anyone who heard them cry wolf as often as they have. Now they have this new "Washington Post" via Houston investigator snooked. I kindof feel sorry for him being their new fool and all. They will go to all lengths to get their way.

Keep digging Councilperson and backers - the whole you are creating is your own. I can't imagine the anger and darkness in your heart that you must try to destroy the beauty here.

Maybe someone needs to tell Mr.Dean that we have a councilman that is years behind on his property taxes. Now that sounds like a scandal!!!!

All us citizens need to email him and enlighten him as to what is going on. This time the reporter needs to see the other side of the story. He needs to know that Tami only talks to reporters and not to 95% of the citizens in CLS.

I intend to email him and offer the video I paid for that has a line of people begging for Tami and the other two to resign. He needs to know the connection with North Shore and that they are all meeting as I make this post. He needs to know about Jackie's retaliation against Paul Shelley for arresting him........Please citizens, lets all email Mr. Dean and show Paul our support one more time over the harrassment and unethical behaviour of a few folks against him.

Don't forget the neighbors that can't stand her from when she lived further down on Narcissus. Except for the bug jar gang nobody likes her

Anonymous said...

If the bug jar gang liked her why weren't they at the last CC mtg.? I question if they like her. I know they used her.

Do we know who contacted Steven Dean? TP, JF, AL, BM, KM or JG?

Man-up and say you were wrong. Admit your mistakes so everyone can move on already.

What is the status of the move to get the boats cleaned up in the canal in front of Jackie's house? Maybe the reporter should take photos of the junkyards facing the canal. This is beyond individual freedom and should be dealt with...wouldn't be tolerated anywhere else on the island.

Roselyn said...

Ok, I did my good deed and sent Steven Dean an email about the piece of political crap he is about to step into.

I also told him that 17 of us had sent a letter to the city for Jackie to move the sinking boat on Aspen (not his house issue) and that the building inspector has given him 30 days to remedy the boat. Also told him the City filed lawsuit against him for unpaid taxes recently.

If he wants a story we can give him one but it wont be about credit card charges.

Again, I urge all to give Steven Dean your view of what is going on so he doesn't just hear my impression.

Roselyn, Done. I went into detail and provided all my contact information - in case Mr. Dean would like some truth and not bull-s--t. Bettie J

Stay Classy Tami, stay classy.

to 10:46 ... now, know that is totally impossible! Bettie j

Adelia said...

Oh yea she's classy and our police department is more efficient. I guess that is according to another alternate reality where classy councilperson wears short shorts and flip flops to meetings.
