Welcome to our little slice of paradise! Clear Lake Shores is probably one of the best kept secrets in the entire Bay Area. Yes we are an island. We are surrounded by Clear Lake, Jarbo Bayou and the Lazy Bend canals. Plug this in to Google Maps and you'll see what I mean 29.32' by 95.01' We are about half way between Galveston Island and the city of Houston and located in north Galveston county. I will try to keep us up on all the goings on that we can walk, boat, bike or drive our golf carts to. Very few things pi$$ me off but one of them is wasting my precious time. I'll try not to waste yours. Enjoy. ab

This from Jana, My neighbors had been taking care of a cat for 3 years that wandered up in their yard (feed, vet office visits, etc.).  Now the neighbors have moved and have left the cat behind.  This cat has been staying at this empty house waiting patiently for them to come back.  She has not left the yard since they moved weeks ago (unless when the yard men come and scare her off).  It is really really sad!!!!  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE would someone please open their heart up and help this abandoned cat.  I found out what vet they used and got a copy of her chart.  She is 8 lbs. and is spayed, declawed, and is feline AIDS and Leukemia free.  Since she has been declawed I am worried about her being outside all the time. January of this year in their care she was attacked by a neighbors dog....she had no way to defend herself.  I am so afraid this will happen again esp. since she is all alone now.  Attached is a picture....a friend of mine said she looks like a Russian Blue???  Please call me, Jana, if you can help this sweet cat out.  I feel so sorry for her!  My number is 281-343-8271.  Thank you!

Yea Rain!! We saw the shuttle last night after sunset from sundial park - it was really cool. Thanks steve. It brought up a lot of conversation about the shuttle between us such as how fast does the shuttle travel. Would be a great outing for kids with each one tasked to bring some shuttle tidbit of information to share.
