Welcome to our little slice of paradise! Clear Lake Shores is probably one of the best kept secrets in the entire Bay Area. Yes we are an island. We are surrounded by Clear Lake, Jarbo Bayou and the Lazy Bend canals. Plug this in to Google Maps and you'll see what I mean 29.32' by 95.01' We are about half way between Galveston Island and the city of Houston and located in north Galveston county. I will try to keep us up on all the goings on that we can walk, boat, bike or drive our golf carts to. Very few things pi$$ me off but one of them is wasting my precious time. I'll try not to waste yours. Enjoy. ab

6 months to go

Happy 1st day of hurricane season
Ready or not it’s that time of year. It’s not that quiet either. Did you see that low off Jacksonville Fl? Now is the time to get ready to get ready.
The pictures are coming! Hopefully I’ll post some tonight.

Endeavour is back on the third planet from the sun. She landed in the wee hours on her 25th and final mission. The youngster of the fleet heads for retirement in……oh yeah, L.A. The final mission is set for next month.

For all you old dudes’ and dudettes’ ….Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band was released on this day in 1967.

Tomorrow at 7 is the next Civic Club meeting. Come on down! The 2011 season is just getting rolling and you really need to be in on it. They’ll be looking for folks who want to get involved with the golf cart parade and Fourth of July party.

This is where I try to put something mildly amusing. Unfortunately it’s a news quote “Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D.-Fla.), chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, denounced Republicans last week for believing illegal immigration “should in fact be a crime.” What a moron. Looks to me like our very own SJL has competition…..I’m beginning to understand why we’re in the tank.

Looking foward to June 22 at City Council, but the debate at sunset is worth it also!
