Welcome to our little slice of paradise! Clear Lake Shores is probably one of the best kept secrets in the entire Bay Area. Yes we are an island. We are surrounded by Clear Lake, Jarbo Bayou and the Lazy Bend canals. Plug this in to Google Maps and you'll see what I mean 29.32' by 95.01' We are about half way between Galveston Island and the city of Houston and located in north Galveston county. I will try to keep us up on all the goings on that we can walk, boat, bike or drive our golf carts to. Very few things pi$$ me off but one of them is wasting my precious time. I'll try not to waste yours. Enjoy. ab

National Truffle Day

Pigs dig 'em up. Not a big fan.

Too many folks talking about crap they think they know about on Facebook. I drop in from time to time for the entertainment value but methinks it's close to reaching that tipping point where the bullshit outweighs the giggle factor though. The unfortunate part is some of your neighbors don't even realize how goofy they sound. Too bad.

Things I learned from the old Islanders today;
The Club used to do a Wine and Cheese night, I wouldn't mind that coming back. The Fishing Tournament goes back to '93, Bananas are not a tree and in fact are classified as an herb. There used to be a movie review section. The Zutecks' rode their first, get that? Their First, MS 150, The Club used to award a Citizen of the Year, It was Joe Shirley, I saw the first Skippers Ad, There was a fairly regular article called News of the Weird, and it was, and there was talk about bitches in the police report.

Yes, our Club House will turn 91 in October.

Best part of all? Helle Brown said she has Islanders back to '77. YAY?

An Insurance Tale IV
Well we finally got our "new" elevation certificate. They missed the advertised 3-5 Day turn around by a few weeks but at least that parts over. On we go to Maxim.
