Welcome to our little slice of paradise! Clear Lake Shores is probably one of the best kept secrets in the entire Bay Area. Yes we are an island. We are surrounded by Clear Lake, Jarbo Bayou and the Lazy Bend canals. Plug this in to Google Maps and you'll see what I mean 29.32' by 95.01' We are about half way between Galveston Island and the city of Houston and located in north Galveston county. I will try to keep us up on all the goings on that we can walk, boat, bike or drive our golf carts to. Very few things pi$$ me off but one of them is wasting my precious time. I'll try not to waste yours. Enjoy. ab

It might be

National Dog Day today but Sunday is National Go Topless Day! REPRESENT Clear lake Shores!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the Clear Lake Shores Civic Club!!
It turned 50 yesterday. You'd think there'd been a celebration..

I know some of CLS Finest drop in on this blog from time to time so here's one for them. What course of action would you like to see a Citizen take if they observed someone not obeying the "pick up after you @#$% dog rule"? Anon is turned on.

99L is weakening a bit but that just means it has  better chance of making it in to the gulf. All of the models indicate the new projected course. Next weekend could be interesting. A Labor day Storm...

Camping in the rain.  Hold down the fort neighbors.

I think if you observe someone not obeying the pick up your dog's shit rule then you should be able to take your dog to their house and have your dog shit in their yard. Have no dog? Then you get to shit in their yard. Their yard becomes the new dog park that so many have craved for.

Also people with teeny tiny poodle type dogs who think their poop is not detectible, it IS when those of us who are responsible dog owners walk them and our dogs discover them as in EEEIUUUUWWW, we pick them up. Pick up after your animals, we all share this slice of heaven

There is a lady in a golf cart who allows her dog to walk beside her cart and poop in my yard, and acts like she does see it... The last time she did it, i walked out, picked it up in a bag, got in my golf cart and followed her to her house. She got out of her cart, and i politely dropped her poop off with her. Let her know i will be doing this from now on with any poop i see in my yard. Now she goes way around my lot to let her dog poop. Problem solved.
