IslandDrumz

Welcome to our little slice of paradise! Clear Lake Shores is probably one of the best kept secrets in the entire Bay Area. Yes we are an island. We are surrounded by Clear Lake, Jarbo Bayou and the Lazy Bend canals. Plug this in to Google Maps and you'll see what I mean 29.32' by 95.01' We are about half way between Galveston Island and the city of Houston and located in north Galveston county. I will try to keep us up on all the goings on that we can walk, boat, bike or drive our golf carts to. Very few things pi$$ me off but one of them is wasting my precious time. I'll try not to waste yours. Enjoy. ab

William Young will NOT be a judge! Did anyone besides him think he would? Not in CLS.

I saw the marquee all lit up this morning when I was leaving the neighborhood. It looks great. I also been noticing a number of new gardens going in. I'm not sure who is responsible for all this but keep it up! Great job.

God bless Texas is right! You can get fat on sodas all you want, go to the ER when you're sick - which you will be, a lot - because you don't have access to affordable health care, and the rest of us Texans will gladly pay the bills! Yee Haaaa!!!

When I got laid off several years back I could barely afford insurance. I paid $410 per month for single coverage and a $10,000 deductible (that's right - $10k !). COBRA was even more expensive. Now I'm employed again with a large oil & gas company and just found out my coverage is going up $162 a month next year. HR has told us that it's because of the Affordable Healthcare Act. Why is it that the Affordable Healthcare Act is making healthcare so damned UN-affordable???

There is a principle which is a bar against all information , which is proof against all arguments , and which can not fail to keep a man in everlasting Ignorance---- that principle is contempt , prior to investigation ! STOP believing what is told without investigating the real truth of a matter ! STOP drinking the koolaid !
