IslandDrumz

Welcome to our little slice of paradise! Clear Lake Shores is probably one of the best kept secrets in the entire Bay Area. Yes we are an island. We are surrounded by Clear Lake, Jarbo Bayou and the Lazy Bend canals. Plug this in to Google Maps and you'll see what I mean 29.32' by 95.01' We are about half way between Galveston Island and the city of Houston and located in north Galveston county. I will try to keep us up on all the goings on that we can walk, boat, bike or drive our golf carts to. Very few things pi$$ me off but one of them is wasting my precious time. I'll try not to waste yours. Enjoy. ab

Finally!

It's National Gumbo Day!!

Here's a couple of pics of what makes this place the place you want to live. These are your friends and neighbors doing a little something that damn well ought to put a smile on your face.

Thank you Landscaping and Beautification team!

Barktoberfest is next on deck. This thing is gonna be huge. Wait till you see all the stuff this group has in their silent auction. Amazing! And come hungry because we're serving Brats, wieners and spiced apples till their gone.
And make sure and get some rest during the week because the first Halloween party is next up.

Enjoy whats left of your weekend.

Is there shuttle parking for the Barktoberfest? It worked great when the shuttle service was done for one fund raiser!

Residents can fill Jarboe and it seems like folks will be coming from all over for this worthy cause.

Please consider it if you have not done so already!

Wonder how the three ambulance runs went on Blue Point recently. More and more neighbors are growing frustrated. Sure hope Council is keeping up with the situation since there has been no improvements.

Also hope Council has an eye on the drought. And is going to reconsider their previous vote on green space. Why can't residents do Permeable versus Vegetation? It sure looks like a business is okay doing permeable. Wish Linda M. would keep her campaign promise and address Council more often as well as articles in The Islander. Perhaps her actions would raise their awareness. Or not...
