IslandDrumz

Welcome to our little slice of paradise! Clear Lake Shores is probably one of the best kept secrets in the entire Bay Area. Yes we are an island. We are surrounded by Clear Lake, Jarbo Bayou and the Lazy Bend canals. Plug this in to Google Maps and you'll see what I mean 29.32' by 95.01' We are about half way between Galveston Island and the city of Houston and located in north Galveston county. I will try to keep us up on all the goings on that we can walk, boat, bike or drive our golf carts to. Very few things pi$$ me off but one of them is wasting my precious time. I'll try not to waste yours. Enjoy. ab

Developing story

Lots of stuff will come out of this bit I'm sure.

This from Blue Shields via Roselyn:
"I have been requested to release this lawsuit by the Attorney of Record to all Sand Bar supporters.  So, please pass this out to everyone you know.  This is just one of many lawsuits that are going to be filed in the next couple of weeks against a large group of defendants."

What a shame they are holding up the construction of the Sandbar. What are they thinking?

So what is this suit about? This is only the cover page. Where can we get the facts of the suit? I have heard rumor that Sandbar does not want to pay for the connection to the sewer line but that is only rumor. Everyone who builds here has to pay for their sewer line, out to and including the cost of connection to the main line. If that is the point of contention Sand Bar needs to move on. but that is only rumor.

Posting this "as is" is just typical CLS agitation, without the facts.

Upon further review, I have located the URL for this lawsuit.

LOoks to me like a settlement is in order.

Roxanne just called me and is pretty hot that a copy of their lawsuit was released. She said she and Joe are not on a witch hunt, don't want to stir any trouble, and did not authorize their builder, lawyer or anyone to distribute information about their business. They are looking forward to the water problem being quickly resolved, getting on with their business, and fitting nicely back into the community.

Roxanne needs to get a handle on that crybaby builder. He IS looking for trouble and he's going to take the Sand Bar down with him. He plans to throw more silly lawsuits around based on some perceived injustice and his personal issues with Jack. He's going to force people to choose between our fair city and the Sand Bar. Tough choice huh?

!!!THIS JUST IN!!!!! I just got the OK from our City Admin George Jones that we can have the movie (Captain Ron) in the pool Saturday. We will of course be expected to mind our P's and Q's. This went really well with Jaws in the pool and everyone had fun. Looking forward to a great time.

I hope all of us who went through the nightmare of rebuilding and all of the surprises associated with that will remember what it was like and give Roxanne the compassion she deserves. I am so glad I wasn't under a microscope when I rebuilt. We all love them and the Sand Bar and we need to show them that support. NOT tear them down for every decision they make especially without being fully informed.

Not sure why Roselyn asked Allan to post this without their permission first.

We support the Sand Bar 100%.

If you go back to the top of this blog Blu has written:

"I have been requested to release this lawsuit by the Attorney of Record to all Sand Bar supporters. So, please pass this out to everyone you know."

Blu sent me and 23 others the copy of the lawsuit, including the owners of the Sandbar. I then later find out from Roxanne that they did not authorize him or attorney to do such.

and BTW, I am also a 100% supporter of the Sandbar and friends of Joe and Roxanne for many years.

A lot of us are 100% supportors of the Sand Bar and Roxanne and Joe. The builder is going to change some of our minds. Watch and see.
The lawsuit is public record. It's available online as noted by the honorable Mr. Mago.
