Update for tomorrow's festivities.
Come on out on Friday evening to start your weekend right!
On Friday evening, the wonderful organization, Second Chance Pets, is having a Cinco De Meow-O Fiesta Fundraiser at the Clubhouse. A crew of tireless volunteers, including the Chairman, neighbor Eileen Ponton, will be preparing and serving a full Taco Dinner with sides, chips, queso and salsa. Your dinner ticket will include the meal, soft drink or water, and a ticket for a chance to win one of some great door prizes. Additional tickets can be purchased.
Beer and Margueritas will be available. Also, if you have any room left after the generous dinner, there will be a dessert table.
For the youngsters, there will be clowns, a pinata, and loads of fun, so bring your whole family. Come on out for the fun!
Tickets are $12 at the door. Dinner will be served from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday May 3.
So, come on out and support your neighbors and the wonderful work they do. Many of you are familiar with the organization. With no facility, they bring strays and unwanted pets into their homes, get medical treatment, give them love, and find them forever homes. There are lots of 2CP rescue pets here on the island. As always, spay and neuter your pets. Second Chance Pets would love to run out of kittens and puppies.
See You Friday, Come Hungry!
More info on the two Bond elections that are on the ballot.
"Today we will start the communication through various social media and City Connect system to residents of Clear Lake Shores and Lazy Bend regarding the presentation on both the CCISD and WCID 12 bond elections. It is an open meeting so anyone may attend even if living elsewhere in the District. We will announce that Linda Merryman, President of WCID 12 and the WCID engineer will go first and speaking from 6 – 6:15pm. We will watch the crowd and if it is still building at 6pm we may start at 6:15 and go to 6:30. Your presentation we expect will be longer and will allow about 30 minutes to present & Q & A. Is that enough time? Should we have a large turnout Q & A go longer Mayor Vern Johnson has the authority to call City Council to order then adjourn temporarily so everyone is heard. We will publish this link for those that want to research this on their own at http://www.ccisd.net/Recommendations.aspx. If you have a PDF presentation we would be glad to post it on the Calendar of our city web site at http://www.clearlakeshores-tx.gov/. Please email to Christy Stroup at city hall. We have A/V so please bring a copy on your lap top and on a thumb drive in the event we use another laptop...."
