IslandDrumz

Welcome to our little slice of paradise! Clear Lake Shores is probably one of the best kept secrets in the entire Bay Area. Yes we are an island. We are surrounded by Clear Lake, Jarbo Bayou and the Lazy Bend canals. Plug this in to Google Maps and you'll see what I mean 29.32' by 95.01' We are about half way between Galveston Island and the city of Houston and located in north Galveston county. I will try to keep us up on all the goings on that we can walk, boat, bike or drive our golf carts to. Very few things pi$$ me off but one of them is wasting my precious time. I'll try not to waste yours. Enjoy. ab

Ever seen a sign that says "Bears here" ? Sounds pretty weird but I know where there is one.
At Tom and Diane's place, 226 Narcissus, there is a black bin with said sign. Diane is collecting them for the patients at Harbor View Nursing Home for Christmas. This from Diane "I already have a 29 but I would love to collect as many as possible. I am asking for new or very gently loved stuffed animals. They do not have to be bears." Now thats a good cause!

If you weren't able to make the meeting last night here's a recap. We got a sneak peek at the honorary burgees and they are awesome, The Thanksgiving Feast was a success and Lazy Bend residents can now join the Civic Club. As a matter of fact we signed up two last night. Welcome neighbors.

I'm seeing a lot of drivel coming from anon. I will ask you to stop. That is ancient history and 'tis the season. I am invoking the Rule of Thumper. "If you can't say anything nice, then don't say anything at all."

History will have to record that the greatest tragedy of this period of social transition was not the strident clamor of the bad people, but the appalling silence of the good people.

Hey, John did something good for the city. While he was Kathy's appointed councilman... He made the drainage laws...was first, to break them, but he made the local drainage laws. Thank you, John!

Silly anon rules aren't for NS. That's nice isn't it?

John was also on the water front compliance committee while Kathy was mayor that sent out 80 letters demanding that those bulkheads all be rebuilt within two weeks. That was nice of him

It is so nice that he filled his yard with pavers, that he uses Jarboe park for his dog to dump daily in. That's nice!

Everyone just try to be nice. I am hopeful that Allan set up this blog to inform us as residents, not to bash our neighbors. It's Christmas for God's sake. Can't we just all get along?

No we can't all get along. This isn't utopia with herds of unicorns dancing around rainbows. As long as people like NS exist those of us who would like a more peaceful environment are out of luck.

Somebody need to get a video of him letting his dog crap and him not picking it up. That would be nice. Pege was the one trying to convince everyone that if a dog park was built surely everyone would pick up after their dogs wouldn't that be nice

Wow, I am convinced that this blog is for crotchety, grumpy old cowards that cannot even sign their name to their bitchiness! Have a wonderful day full of butterflies and kittens, :) I like the CLS FB page better. It's more positive and informative.
