IslandDrumz

Welcome to our little slice of paradise! Clear Lake Shores is probably one of the best kept secrets in the entire Bay Area. Yes we are an island. We are surrounded by Clear Lake, Jarbo Bayou and the Lazy Bend canals. Plug this in to Google Maps and you'll see what I mean 29.32' by 95.01' We are about half way between Galveston Island and the city of Houston and located in north Galveston county. I will try to keep us up on all the goings on that we can walk, boat, bike or drive our golf carts to. Very few things pi$$ me off but one of them is wasting my precious time. I'll try not to waste yours. Enjoy. ab

It's Tuesday and I have a #$%^ cold

How about that Monday Night Football? I think that was Michelle on E Shore I heard screaming as I went to bed. Never a dull moment huh?

National Night Out is next Tuesday night. Below is the schedule.
Parade starts at 6:00 Lazy Lane and Birch.  Pack the family in your golf cart and follow along, or get on your scooter, bike or roller skates and join us anywhere along the route for a fun time.  Get acquainted with our police force during the evening. Want to help? We could use a hand or two handing out drinks.
Parade moves at  6:15 to South Shore & Narcissus
            6:30 Forest and West Shore
            6:45 Pine and Ivy
            7:00 Queen and Juniper
            7:15 to 8:00 Sundial Park
If you haven't paid your Civic Club dues this will be a good time - Find any board member and we'll take care of the rest.
This from Neighbor Jane. Surely someone out there knows someone looking?
I am looking for ENTRY LEVEL ONLY college grads with degrees in Geology, Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry or Engineering.  The position requires traveling – 3 weeks on and 1 week off and work 6 days a week out in the field.  They must be in good health, pass a drug screening and be 40 hour HAZWOP OSHA trained.  If they are not OSHA trained and their credentials are great – we will train them.  You can give out my contact info below for resume submittal to my email.  Thanks A!
Thank you,

Does NNO overlap CC? Not good.

Maybe CC needs to reschedule.

Do I have this right?

Monday, Oct. 1 City Council
Tues., Oct. 2 NNO
Thurs., Oct.4 Civic Club

Am I the only one that thinks that is a lot for one week?

As long as I am on the subject, I wish Civic Club mtgs. were not the same week as Council mtgs. I wonder if attendance at both would increase if there was a change. For those that get babysitters, two nights in one week is a bit much, especially school nights when routine is important.

What are others thoughts on changing Civic Club to the 2nd Thurs. of each month?

Some enterprising youth should offer group babysitting on cc and civic club nights. Good money making opportunity for someone. Could probably do it upstairs at the club house
