IslandDrumz

Welcome to our little slice of paradise! Clear Lake Shores is probably one of the best kept secrets in the entire Bay Area. Yes we are an island. We are surrounded by Clear Lake, Jarbo Bayou and the Lazy Bend canals. Plug this in to Google Maps and you'll see what I mean 29.32' by 95.01' We are about half way between Galveston Island and the city of Houston and located in north Galveston county. I will try to keep us up on all the goings on that we can walk, boat, bike or drive our golf carts to. Very few things pi$$ me off but one of them is wasting my precious time. I'll try not to waste yours. Enjoy. ab

Sorry I'm late...

Late post

I hope your day was as exciting as mine. It started off a little slow but it picked up after lunch. I guess technically it started yesterday when Officer Janssen stopped by and told me she was going to arrest me tomorrow, which is today, but since she told me yesterday…oh never mind. Gosh where to start. You know the older I get the harder it is to do something I’ve never done before. You know what I mean? Well I crossed a bunch of firsts off my list today. I have never been in a police car. Had. I started to get in the back seat but was invited to sit in the front. It was really crowded with all the computer stuff but it was cool none the less. That was for the ride around to booking. I drove my car, actually Melindas Pacifica, down and for that I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Officer Janssen for the police escort all the way down to the County Jail at 54th off Broadway. And for handling the warrant. I have never been “booked” before. Had. I guess I really should say thanks to Barb for that but that is just not gonna happen. It was fairly painless. They did take my smart phone so I couldn’t pass the time with solitaire or check my email but if that’s the price I have to pay for Freedom of Speech so be it. My battery was running low anyhow. I had never dealt with a Bail Bonding company before. I huge shout out to Gulf Coast Bail Bonds for the yo-yo ride I put you through. I called them first then I had three of our friends and neighbors step in and offer to put up the cash ($2500) to save me the 10%. Guys. Thank you sooo much. The first charge was Online impersonation. It’s fairly new so there was a lot of confusion. But to all you deputies in the Jail, Officers Tyler, Reyes, Hinze and Liggio you guys (and gal) rock. I did my best impersonation of a couple of our Island favorites and they were ROFLAO. Thanks for making an akward situation so much fun. Tell the little cutie with the braces I said hi. And by all that is holy I hope you or Larry gets the smell out of 138b. Yikes! I have never been in a jail cell before. Had. OK, OK, It was only about 6 minutes but still a cell is a cell is a cell. I asked when we were going to get around to waterboarding and Deputy Liggio said that doesn’t start until May but If I would do the So.Carolina/Georgia/Vuhginia accent again he’d see what he could do. My new friend Crazy Bill is not so happy though. He’s pretty sure he’s going back to prison. Seems his sister called 911 on him over a bag of beans. That’s his story and I’m sticking to it. For the Brotherhood! Bon Chance CB. Darius, I feel your pain my brother. I’m sure they’ll find out whose crack that really was. I’m tired of the man keeping us down too. All in all I had my first scotch a tad later than usual but I’m OK with that. I’ll explain the whole silly mess to Wyatt in the morning and explain to him where his college money is coming from. Good night all. There will be more in the AM.

What a sad day for clear lake shores. It is only a council position and it amazes me how low someone would stoop to hold that power. I have always said I am all for handling any problems we had with our police force/city but had a problem with the tactics used to try to fire our chief and sell of land designated for town center. This one takes the cake. Sorry Alan and thanks for speaking up. This reminds me of the cheerleader mom who was willing to kill to get her daughter on the squad.

Very sad day for CLS when a council seat is ssooooooo important. Some people need to get their priorities straight. can't use their email cause I might go to jail. This is the tactics they use FEAR,LIES AND HALF TRUTHS, to get their way!

Interesting that denises name is coming up again. could it be that the way the police report was written up was what caused the DA to issue an arrest warrant? Did Kenny know what was coming down? was Denise scheduled for work when she was called to file a complaint? All questions that should be asked of Kenny. Just wondering if Kenny and Denise are still in the NS pocket. I guess Denise would be happy to see this blog shut down too.

Would someone please provide details about voting for WC # 12? I am questioning how Bernie can run when he received questionable funds back in John Scott's days. thank you.

I am so sorry, Allan. I am saddened for you and CLS.

Anon 7:33 - when a complaint is filed and warrent issued it is a police job to arrest. We know you want Kenny, Denise, and Shelly out of office and we know you want town center to go away. I am sure we will find out soon who the face behind the accusations is. Wyatt enjoy Yale or Harvard if you don't choose to study overseas!!!

Did anyone ever find out about the real estate that was purchased by the Mcs while she was in office? Do the people in Kemah know about Bernie and the money incident. Maybe we need some door to door time over there

Wow! Each day it becomes clearer who the real nuts are on this island. Do they not have any shame? Sorry for your ordeal AB. I am still trying to figure out how Bawrberrra got my email address a couple of months back. She sent me this bizarre email along with everyone on the island's email addresses. Talk about exploiting our neighbors privacy. Next time you want to send a mass email out Bawrberrra, a little tip.....use BCC.

Haven't we had some people posing as city council for some time now? Also can we file a class action against someone harrassing us all? It will be interesting to see what this is all about.

I wonder if the people with John signs in front of their houses understand the kind of people they are supporting. Do they really support these kind of attacks?

Barbara's education notes that she received her BA in Business Management in 2007 from Madison University. It's as fake as her accent.

Wikipedia - Madison University

Madison University is a non-accredited distance learning college located in Gulfport, Mississippi. The state of Mississippi considers Madison an "unapproved" college.[1][2] Madison is also listed as an unaccredited and/or substandard institution by four other U.S. states.[3][4][5][6] According to The Chronicle of Higher Education, Madison University has been referred to as a diploma mill by the state of Oregon.[7]

In 2009, Mississippi based newspaper The Clarion-Ledger reported the school "sought information from the commission on gaining approval several months ago but did not complete the process, even though it has continued operating in this state."[14] The article also reported "the cost for a bachelor's degree is a flat $4,870, which can be paid in monthly installments".[14]

She probably is referring to James Madison U in Virginia. Not that I am proud to be from the same state as her.
