I hope your day was as exciting as mine. It started off a little slow but it picked up after lunch. I guess technically it started yesterday when Officer Janssen stopped by and told me she was going to arrest me tomorrow, which is today, but since she told me yesterday…oh never mind. Gosh where to start. You know the older I get the harder it is to do something I’ve never done before. You know what I mean? Well I crossed a bunch of firsts off my list today. I have never been in a police car. Had. I started to get in the back seat but was invited to sit in the front. It was really crowded with all the computer stuff but it was cool none the less. That was for the ride around to booking. I drove my car, actually Melindas Pacifica, down and for that I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Officer Janssen for the police escort all the way down to the County Jail at 54th off Broadway. And for handling the warrant. I have never been “booked” before. Had. I guess I really should say thanks to Barb for that but that is just not gonna happen. It was fairly painless. They did take my smart phone so I couldn’t pass the time with solitaire or check my email but if that’s the price I have to pay for Freedom of Speech so be it. My battery was running low anyhow. I had never dealt with a Bail Bonding company before. I huge shout out to Gulf Coast Bail Bonds for the yo-yo ride I put you through. I called them first then I had three of our friends and neighbors step in and offer to put up the cash ($2500) to save me the 10%. Guys. Thank you sooo much. The first charge was Online impersonation. It’s fairly new so there was a lot of confusion. But to all you deputies in the Jail, Officers Tyler, Reyes, Hinze and Liggio you guys (and gal) rock. I did my best impersonation of a couple of our Island favorites and they were ROFLAO. Thanks for making an akward situation so much fun. Tell the little cutie with the braces I said hi. And by all that is holy I hope you or Larry gets the smell out of 138b. Yikes! I have never been in a jail cell before. Had. OK, OK, It was only about 6 minutes but still a cell is a cell is a cell. I asked when we were going to get around to waterboarding and Deputy Liggio said that doesn’t start until May but If I would do the So.Carolina/Georgia/Vuhginia accent again he’d see what he could do. My new friend Crazy Bill is not so happy though. He’s pretty sure he’s going back to prison. Seems his sister called 911 on him over a bag of beans. That’s his story and I’m sticking to it. For the Brotherhood! Bon Chance CB. Darius, I feel your pain my brother. I’m sure they’ll find out whose crack that really was. I’m tired of the man keeping us down too. All in all I had my first scotch a tad later than usual but I’m OK with that. I’ll explain the whole silly mess to Wyatt in the morning and explain to him where his college money is coming from. Good night all. There will be more in the AM.
