IslandDrumz

Welcome to our little slice of paradise! Clear Lake Shores is probably one of the best kept secrets in the entire Bay Area. Yes we are an island. We are surrounded by Clear Lake, Jarbo Bayou and the Lazy Bend canals. Plug this in to Google Maps and you'll see what I mean 29.32' by 95.01' We are about half way between Galveston Island and the city of Houston and located in north Galveston county. I will try to keep us up on all the goings on that we can walk, boat, bike or drive our golf carts to. Very few things pi$$ me off but one of them is wasting my precious time. I'll try not to waste yours. Enjoy. ab

And here is a great pic of our local 4 legged celebrity. If you know someone in the market for a dog, other than Craig, call Jennifer… Here is a picture of the boxer………maybe you could post it or pass it around………Jennifer has him and we want to find him a home – she says he’s a sweetie – just scared and confused which is understandable!  Thank you,
Lezlie
A woman was at work when she received a phone call that her small daughter was very sick with a fever.     She left her work and stopped by the pharmacy to get some medication.     She got back to her car and found that she had locked her keys in the car.     She didn't know what to do, so she called home and told the baby sitter what had happened.     The baby sitter told her that the fever was getting worse. She said, "You might find a coat hanger and use that to open the door."     The woman looked around and found an old rusty coat hanger that had been left on the ground, possibly by someone else who at some time had locked their keys in their car.     She looked at the hanger and said, "I don't know how to use this."     She bowed her head and asked God to send her help..     Within five minutes a beat up old motor cycle pulled up, with a dirty, greasy, bearded man who was wearing an old biker skull rag on his head.     The woman thought, "This is what you sent to help me?" But, she was desperate, so she was also very thankful. The man got off of his cycle and asked if he could help.     She said, "Yes, my daughter is very sick. I stopped to get her some medication and I locked my keys in my car. I must get home to her.. Please, can you use this hanger to unlock my car?"     He said, "Sure." He walked over to the car, and in less than a minute the car was opened.     She hugged the man and through her tears she said, "Thank You So Much! You are a very nice man."     The man replied, "Lady, I am not a nice man. I just got out of prison today. I was in prison for car theft and have only been out for about an hour."     The woman hugged the man again and with sobbing tears cried out loud, "Oh, thank you God! You even sent me a Professional!!!"

So sorry about your car, Roselyn. Any progress in determining who hit it? This is really good of you to do for Paul and Tina.

Roselyn,

It is quiet. But be patient. It is only two days until the workshop when Queen Tami tries to explain why she should be a part of running our PD. You can't put those three in a room without something crazy happening. Then there are only four days after the workshop until we get to see what they put on the agenda to screw up next. Will it be implementing a no ordinance law for Aspen and Tindle, banning the blog, vote to remove scheduled and unscheduled visitors from the agenda for a period of no less than 180 days, create an ordinance to have anyone who disagrees with them thrown out of CC meetings, ban drinking except at Tamis house, vote to postpone the next election untill they can do even more damage? who knows but you know it will be something. Then we will have only six days to figure out what the hell they are up to before the next CC meeting. Relax and get ready for Saturday. I will be out of town so take good notes and fill me in next week.

Craig

Remember, Kathy pointed out in the GDN only 12 or so of us read this blog thing so we need to keep each other informed. Vern would you please write an article in the GDN and try to explain the actual facts to their readers about the investigation like when they put an item on the agend to fire the chief before any investigation began? With the exception of Tamis personal investigation which none of us knew about. Come on Galveston DA, give us some help here.

Sad but true, Craig. Aspen and Tindal are obviously already under a no ordinance ban. It's called just ignore them and they will go away. Or, intimidate them and they will quit asking questions and making demands. Or, lie to the uninformed by scaring them into submission. It is about control that has no regard for community or civility, all hallmarks of what we believe Clear Lake Shores to be about.

Thanks, I talked to owners of Opus and they do not have a security camera and no one saw anything. No big deal. Thats what insurance is for. $3184 damage estimate. Right next to the front door and under bright lights. Amazing nobody saw it and I would expect that their clientele are the type that would leave a note or come in and say they hit a car.

The Shelley's have helped many multi-generations of families here, some two generations, like me and Joe with his Mom and Pop, Jerry and Shanna McGinty. Some three generation, like the Guthrie family and Kessler family. I am sure there are many more families that have benefited by the Shelley's kind hands and ways of dealing with their parents, children and grandchildren's problems. I feel we have no choice but to support them. Thats what true friends do. They have been like family to a lot of us and I can't stand by and see them publicly humiliated, accused of crimes, harrassed, defamed, and put under enormous stress and not just by a few council people, but by a group. So, we asked them to apologize and explain in council meetings and except for Al and Richard they did not, so its time now to get it out of the council meetings and into court to determine what the real motive was for putting the Shelley's through this ordeal.

Craig,
Plz don't give Tammy any more crazy ideas about how she can do more damage to CLS. What she has done already has cost us too much!
