IslandDrumz

Welcome to our little slice of paradise! Clear Lake Shores is probably one of the best kept secrets in the entire Bay Area. Yes we are an island. We are surrounded by Clear Lake, Jarbo Bayou and the Lazy Bend canals. Plug this in to Google Maps and you'll see what I mean 29.32' by 95.01' We are about half way between Galveston Island and the city of Houston and located in north Galveston county. I will try to keep us up on all the goings on that we can walk, boat, bike or drive our golf carts to. Very few things pi$$ me off but one of them is wasting my precious time. I'll try not to waste yours. Enjoy. ab

Good Morning Clear Lake Shores!

If Don is not on your mind he will be. Looks like a rainy weekend? Could we be so lucky? Fingers are crossed here.
New road in the making. Hot off the ether from neighbor Ronnie....
another week and we might be able to drive on it.
The bomb is out.... what do you think?

You may call it a bomb I think it is a pink piece of chit. It is so hard to read but your comments sure helped to brighten my rage. Look out Tammie if this is all there is - NOTHING!

Help me someone,

Why are we mad at Deniese? Unfortuneately I am old enough to know who deepthroat was (both of them) and I know who "I am not a crook" Nixon is. I am just missing something I guess. Why are we mad at Deniese? Please type real slow and clearly so I can understand. Thanks

Vern just got out of the Emergency Mgmt. Meeting re: Don. He told me we can expect 1 - 3 inches of rain and winds around 20 mph tomorrow.

More good news: NO Exec. Sessions will take place at CC this Tues. (Did I hear a collective sigh of relief?)

Tami is a no brain incompetent council person who follows orders. She did not write what was put out for investigation. Others wrote it for her. SHE MUST GO as well as the people that wrote it for her.

ab said...

I'm not mad a Officer Jansen. I think she is a tremendous asset to our city. What's not to like about pink handcuffs? And she reads this blog! win win!

Anonymous said...

Well somebody doesn't like her very much but you and Dave are good with her and I always have liked her so untill further notice all is well. I'm glad.

I have no problem with Denise. I met her for the first time Saturday after council and she seems pleasant. I was just asking if Tami needed police protection since a cop car was there Saturday night after a very heated council meeting.

I heard that when Tina resigned a citizen called Tami's house to complain and then that night a new cop knocked on their door and said Tami would file a harassment complaint if they called her again. Freedom of speech applies to Denise also and she can defend herself on this blog if she feels that is necessary. Looks like other policemen are posting, she should be able to also.

This is getting complicated. I think what we need is a chart kinda like a family tree. Not like yours in Arkansas Alan but a normal one that shows all of the players so far and where they stand. We could put the good guys names in Pink and the bad guys and girls names in black. We would then have a good at a glance reference chart. Dave, could you get on it right away?

I don't believe anyone is angry with Denise. This all came about when Tami threw her under the bus naming her as the officer who talked. She goes on and on about officers being at risk for loosing their jobs and then quotes Denise. Let's not start witch hunts of our own especially when Tami is the one baiting

I agree. Keep up the good work Sgt. DJ

This is my first post. I have only become aware of the blog about a month ago.

I have cried and screamed several times hearing what is happening at the CC mtgs. I love CLS.

I wouldn't say I am pink since I don't understand the meaning. I like watermelon so I think that is bad. I know I am not black. Bernie is black, right? I think he is a manipulator. Can I be blue? I feel very blue at times. If red orange is the color of anger I can be half blue and half red-orange. I can spell and my sentence formation is fair.

I have never thought I would post until I saw what Tammy is bringing to the table. I truly trusted our local goverment to do the right thing. It seems like Arlene taking a seat at the table something shifted. I always liked you, Arlene. What are you doing? I looked up to you.

I thought Tammy was going to reveal something horrible about our former chief. Tears are in my eyes writing this now. You are a disgrace to me, Tammy Perkins. You have hurt so many good people. I am a strong believer in what goes around comes around. I pity your karma.

Anonymous said...

Nancy,

I am trying to simplfy this. Yes Bernie would be Black. No you can't be some other color or it just makes it more complicated. You are Pink. Watermelon is good. It pokes fun at Black which again is bad. This is exactly why we need a chart. Dave hasn't let me know if he is going to make my chart or not but if we make it any harder or more complicated he won't. OK, so Black is bad Pink is good and you are Pink. Now you are up to speed and that is all you need to know untill the chart comes out. Welcome to the team. Sign up as a SCHEDULED visitor for the next CC meeting and get your questions answered. Dave is it ready yet? Please put Nancy under Pink.

@Craig,

If you and Dave want to develop a chart the tree could have pink blossoms representing the good, forward thinking citizens that are the leaders moving CLS to become better. Gray blossom representing the citizens that don't get involved. Those blossoms might never bloom since they don't have the passion to improve CLS.Some of those greys may turn pink on day but what I see they lay back with their heads nicely in the sand. Or they are the lazy ones that couldn't give a hoot and seldom vote. The black weeds could represent those who have no intentions than to make this place worse. In fact, they are hell bend in destroying it. They don't pay taxes, trash their yard and others and have been arrested in CLS. They allow Bernie and Kathy to pull their strings and act like puppets. They cannot follow procedures or talk to residents in a civilized way. They run for council on lies than are hell bend on getting Paul out of his position. I dread hearing how our budget will be impacted by their very destructive path since none of them considered what it may cost the city.

From what I have observed Dave does not follow thru on what he says he will do for the island with the exception of getting the chief signs. If he posts one more time that people needs to sign their names I am going to scream at him. Allan has even corrected him about the need for the anon feature. In fact, let me use that feature to sign.

Anonymous said...

I just finished reading Tammi's empty bushel filled with nothing more than her unprofessional, procedure violating nonsense. It is so consistent with her lack of respect for the citizens who she runs from. Like many others here, I question how can she continues on council? She violates ordinances and procedures on a regular basis. Like other here, I question why the mayor and other council member can't DO something. I signed the petition online and the hardcopy. If the DA assigns a Judge who does not help us here we will follow-up on that in many ways. And Tami, it won't be pretty. Do you want us to persue you in court? Step down NOW.

Roselyn said...

I want all three of them that hatched this problem to step down.
They just dont get it that their services are no longer needed.

I want anybody associated with the North Shore Annex to never get a seat on council.

I want Paul and Vern to deal with any people on the police department that assisted the trio with this take-down. I understand there were at least 7 seasoned officers that were not "interviewed". Tami chose to deal with the our dirty laundry in public instead of private. So be it.

...and I want Tina back. So, "Tami out Tina in" is my new focus.

Anonymous said...

Wow anon you have some great ideas for that chart with all the blossums and flowers. Sounds like you are much more qualified to build that chart than Dave. I say you fire him as the official island chart maker and take on the job yourself.

Adelia said...

Yea !!! Rain !!!
Maybe it will wash away some of the anger on the island and give us a brand new day. I am afraid my yard (if it is not dead yet) will be 8 feet tall by the time I get back from PA.
Miss all of you guys - respect all of our elected officials and police officers - and look forward to when things settle back down and we can just send fun and loving messages on this blog.
Don't become like the people we are trying to stop or THEY WIN!!!

Roselyn said...

Anon, I am a geneologist with over 20,000 people in my tree so I can give you a tip. As I am working on my family tree and everything is going well and at a nice speed, all of the sudden, its like someone picked up all my work and threw it on the floor in a big puzzle mess. Then I slowly pick up the pieces to analyze & reassemble and find that when this happens its because cousins have married cousins and what was thought to be a girl later in life grows a penis and was a man all along, or that slaves gave birth to their masters children but they cant be buried in the same cemetery because they were segregated, its always some dirty family secret. But when I am patient in putting the pieces back together it becomes clear that somebody made a bad choice in life is why the tree quit branching.

A couple of months ago I did my family tree for a reunion. Since my linage is from the Tudor family in England, the title of my family tree was "From the Palace to the Trailer Park". Some relatives thought it was funny, some not so much. Point is we all become who we are because of the choices we and our parents make in life.

In my opinion there are 3 on council whose future may not be very bright because of the choices they have made which will also affect their heirs. They need to find a hobby other than politics because they are not good at it. Hey, maybe geneology.

So, to sort out this messed up puzzle and construct the "family tree of characters" we need more information on how the "black" characters met and became friends. If you can answer the following questions then you can construct the tree:

1. How would a cop hater, who does not drink, end up being friends with an ex-cop who has sued our city and goes to Heads N Tails and drinks with his attorney?
2. How would a 55 year old soccer Mom become friends with an 80 year old couple? Under what social circumstance would the soccer mom who lives in an expensive waterfront house overhear a policeman's wife say that Tina was running the show?
3. Who is this "young" girl on the blog that is screaming profanities in defense of Tami? How would Tami know someone of this caliber and age? Is she someone I need to fear when I drive through Kemah?
4. Who is the character that brought Young and this line up of ex cops and cops never hired to sue our city? Who told them about the insurance fund that pays out ?and they dont even have to go to court?
5. I do understand the third council relationship.....same age, same feeling of self importance, loves to hear themselves talk, same socio-economic level.
6. Who is the character that North Shore is training how to file complaints with the DA because no one will listen to her?

So, only when you have these answers can you do the tree. So you have your work cut out for you! Good luck and please keep us up to date with your research results. (and please say a prayer for me that I dont get arrested because I have signed my name.)

Those are very good questions. Like I said I was only kidding about the chart but the responses make it even more interesting. We could make it a game. We could all meet at the pavillion by the pool and have a big dry erase board. Everyone would get a marker and we could all take turns adding to it. Everyone would be invited, both the Pink and the Black team so we would have alot of input and not miss putting anyone on the board. The chart would have to be active players in this mess. Can you imagine what the chart would look like? Especially if we got out the Margarita Machine and made it a drinking game. We could have milk for Jackie and watermelon soup for the Black team. Hey, craizer things have happened in good ol CLS.

IF there are police officers that received an advance on their pay (no ATM Tami) then reported Paul for doing the same, it is my opinion they need to start job hunting NOW.

Anonymous said...

no they shouldn't because there is nothing wrong with it as far as we can tell why wrongly punish more cops

Anonymous said...

Other employees have received pay advances also
They were approved by the chief or the mayor and
Taken out of their next check pretty common
With most employers tami should of asked the mayor
So now let the city spend our money to find that out !

Anonymous said...

I meant if there is a snitch in the police dept. they need to start job hunting. Wait...there had to be a snitch or two to have given Tami crap. I can understand disgruntled ex cops complaining or whining.

I changed jobs numerous times due to being unhappy with mgmt. If it is so bad here look elsewhere.

Anonymous said...

Allan, I so prefer your fun stuff but what you wrote today is so very important to CLS. Thank you for all you are doing.

HOw is the Tami Perkins Petition going? Is it ready to take to the DA?

Will citizens be notified how to join the civil lawsuit - the one going forward to declare her incompetent? Many of us want in on it. Perhaps there can be a sign-up sheet at CC on Tues. outside of the bldg, of course.

Just a simple warning. I went to Kemah at 8:30 and headed home at 10:30. A big truck was up my ass with their bright lights on all the way to my house. I stopped at every stop sign and used my turn signals. I went under the Kemah bridge to get home. I pulled in my drive way, they went by and there was another big truck at the intersection. I am feeling brave so I back out of my garage and follow the truck. It is going at a high speed and I loose them. It freaked me out so I went to the police station. As I am pulling in there are 3 cop cars leaving police station going east toward where I live at a pretty good speed. I sit in the parking lot of the police station and call Paul, who is out of town. He tells me they are probably going to a police call. I said Ok, its probably just coincidence and I am probably just paranoid. Anyway, be careful out there as the power is shifting and some, like me have signed their names.

I swear that the last two comments were made by different people. Just posted at the same time. Roselyn

Why was Joe Hunnington, who was consoling Tami and Jackie after the last council meeting, just hauling ass down Cedar with his loud diesel mercedes toward Kemah? Hot date? Since you live on Blue Point you might have come from Opus (or Jackie's) to be coming down Cedar to Kemah? I saw your car at Jackie's this week. Slow down please when you come down my street. I remember you Joe from the Don and Jennie Harban days when you didn't like them and were sent by their neighbor (now deceased, who was best friends with North Shore) to cause problems for them. It only stopped when they hired a lawyer to put you and your buddy on notice. So I guess you are a character in this saga as well? So sad but not surprised to see it. So Joe Hunnington, black side of the chalk board.

While gathering with a few friends on Thurs. a truck was going by very slowing. I had my suspecions but the other two friends commented things have gotten weird with some of the slow moving larger trucks. Let's keep our cameras handy to start capturing photos of the license plates.

I admire you Roselyn for going back out. By chance did you get the license plate #?

So glad to hear Paul is out of town. I so hope he is taking a wonderful and well deserved vacation. I think he has months of vacation time coming since he is seldom gone.

He did much work from home when after his knee surgery. And came back to the office a bit soon. He is so dedicated to CLS!

Could you post all of the blacks?
Instead of the whole tree chart I need to know the black weeds.

Bernie, Kathy (N. Shore), Tami (W. Shore), Joe Hunnington (blue Point)
Peggy and John Wright(Pine)

I admit I am a little behind. I am sorry. Yes, my head has been in the sand. I promise to get more involved. From what I have been trying to learn there are not that many black weeds.

So glad to hear there were 7 police officers with the integrity not to talk to Tami during her illegal investigation. Will the others be outed in the investigation results? Certainly it will provide names.

Anonymous said...

7??? thats a joke LOL try 3 maybe 4 they all tatled for the same things they do

Anonymous said...

So post at 10:21 I am going to guess it is TP since who else would know how many cops tattled. I think tattled is a better word for it, too. Children tattle on each other. Children whine when they don't get there way. I sure hope the investigation will expose the whiny tattlers.

You, TP, remind me of a child. You can't talk to the Mayor, City Admin./ chief or the citizens. You can't follow procedures or laws. You cuss and put your hand in people faces. You try to escape out the back door. You claim to have all this evidence but you have nothing. Take your toys and go play somewhere else. If you stay here GROW UP!

Jan said...

Anon, could you please give more information on the filing in Judge Criss's court?

Anonymous said...

Thank you, Jan, for posting and for asking about the ref. to Judge Criss's court. If this is the residents vs TP I want in on it, too. Darn, I don't want to miss an opportunity to take her down.

How are the fund-raising ideas coming along? I have a few things I am working on.
