IslandDrumz

Welcome to our little slice of paradise! Clear Lake Shores is probably one of the best kept secrets in the entire Bay Area. Yes we are an island. We are surrounded by Clear Lake, Jarbo Bayou and the Lazy Bend canals. Plug this in to Google Maps and you'll see what I mean 29.32' by 95.01' We are about half way between Galveston Island and the city of Houston and located in north Galveston county. I will try to keep us up on all the goings on that we can walk, boat, bike or drive our golf carts to. Very few things pi$$ me off but one of them is wasting my precious time. I'll try not to waste yours. Enjoy. ab

Don?

Are we ready? 3 models have it coming right in to Galveston Bay and one is aiming at Freeport. All else is between Corpus and Matagorda. Don’t wait till the last minute. One heck of a way to end a drought huh?

The original complaint has been released. It’s too big for the blog all in one shot so I’m going to split it up. I will do my best to get the whole thing up here along with commentary as soon as possible. Please check back later.

What I have in my hands via a request for open records is from the Exec. Sessions. Yep, it is what Tami claims her mission is based upon.

Please do not line up at the door for copies. I am going to get hardcopies for your reading pleasure by Thursday or Friday.

My scanner and I are having issues at the moment. If you would prefer the scanned docs. emailed to you please send me your request to me

hubbs502@verizon.net

In the subject line please put
Tami Perkins BS

Trust me it is BS.

Well that was very effective however of the 15 emails I already have I am not sending anything to montgomery. Lace Montgomery wasn't it your name on CC agenda? If you would like a hardcopy you may buy one for $25.00.

REVISED directives for scanned docs. Subject line: Tami PerkinsBS
In the content area please put your name and CLS address.

Thank you for following directions.

Mrs Hubbard,
I find it funny if this is the "Montgomery" mentioned in the agenda, and the complaint is "bs" as you call it, why not provide him/her with a copy. Seems you are contradicting yourself. I must agree with him/her, you are bitter.

Suzanne,

Until they can sign their names to their opinions of you just consider the source and let it go. Why would they be scared to sign their name. I have noticed every Tami supporter has remained anonymous. No surprise. It appears we are finding out the majority of us were right all along. I am still keeping an open mind but so far so good.

Anonymous sign your name to your posts. Cowardice is unbecoming a mature adult.

craig said...

Has anyone noticed nearly all Tami supporters that do sign their name are non Islanders and most don't sign their name. I don't know what that means if anything. Just observing.

I do find it amusing that "sign your name" is the best advice you can offer to my statement. Why should anyone have to sign their name? I can see that people on both sides sometimes like to remain anonymous. Perhaps because one would rather not identify themselves because of the false and trecherous things that will be brought to their name by others who dont agree. I am not commenting to start a rather high school comparable argument, or pound my version of the issue into someones head. Just simply stating a comment. Seems some views are so strong its turned into a adrenaline rushed crap slinging contest that gets no one anywhere. So, i will remain anonymous, and state my oponion as others have. Have you heard the saying "oponions are like a**holes, everyone has one and they all stink at one point or another" Lets stay on topic if we are to conduct an adult conversation, and not get sidetracked simply because we can not put a face to the name.

Craig, Have you noticed the Tami supports have the worst sentence formation and can't spell? I am betting most of them did not graduate from college. We know some are unemployed. I bet the anon supportors have a poor work history, too. I guess when they state their oponions they are stating their opinions. Hmm...

Just for grins I am going to sign anon to see if it feels better than being proud of when I sign my name. Something tells me I will feel like a coward scared to stand up for my beliefs.

Craig - you are starting to restate what you already said. Be careful there buddy.

And yet again, another fabulous example of your childishness. Picking on spelling??? Really??? Yet i notice you never actually responded to my comment. All you did was pick at it? Funny. Ill leave you for a few moments to figure out what to pick at next...

Anonymous said...

i will say this, im not retarted, i can spell, however the average person also makes a few typos here and there. i read where you pointed out i wrote "oponions"...did you not maybe think it was a typo since the o key is right next to the i key? hmm. Its ok, ill admit some things i do spell wrong, because unlike you im not "perfect" ;-) But please, continue to look childish and laugh at typos and anything i have spelled incorrectly. Seems to be your only "comeback" considering your high schooldemeanor.

For God's sake your on the right side anonymous, why hide?

Hi y'all. Whats' the problem with using the anon button. That's what it's there for. It was recently suggested that it get turned off. I think that unwise. Look how many folks would not reply for whatever reason? And the reasons are theirs and theirs alone. Focus on what is important. Trust me when i say the majority of these comments don't fall in to that category. Let's work to get our city back on track and minimize the damage council can do. later taters. Hey, I think I'll use the anon button!

sigh...i couldnt agree more!

How come all the signs are down on north shore and west shore? Who called city hall and told them to remove the signs? If you come and get my sign I will make a bigger pink one and put it in cement. My sign will be in my yard for 10 months or until one of them resigns or is legally removed, and not until then.

Dear anon,
Here is your answer. Why should people working on their own time to support our city officials and our way of life spend their time and money to provide documents to those who are attacking the same. Besides I am pretty sure all parties involved in this investigation/attack already know the inside story. We are the uninformed majority - and the ones who have the most to lose as we live here.

I think we are losing focus a bit. Yes, it's always nice to know who is on which side, but the anon button is there for those who simply wish to state an opinion, but for reasons of their own, want to remain unknown. This is, after all, the place where we can all vent and state what we think, whether it's right or wrong or whether or not someone else agrees. Also, may I point out that squabbling about poor spelling and grammar being an indication of one's education (or lack thereof) is not only losing focus on the real problem, but isn't necessarily true in the first place. As a college-educated (Gig 'Em) schoolteacher with 2 degrees, yes, it makes me cringe to see poor spelling and/or grammar, but I can also assure you that some of the SMARTEST people I have known, both adults and children, are poor spellers. Heck, look at Einstein! Spelling is not an indication of education. And just as often, it's merely a typo as we rush through on the keyboard. I know we are all losing our patience for answers and want something positive to happen, so we are venting our frustrations toward anything negative we can find right now, but let's focus on what needs to be done to move forward. I wish we could all remember how unified we were in those days and weeks after Ike when our survival as a community was our only priority. Why should this be any different?

Michelle,

You are right but it sure is fun getting the North Shore Gang all fired up just to see their response. You have to admit its fun to read their rants. I promise to stop teasing them. Maybe. To the kind writer that pointed out I was yet again repeating myself, message received. I promise I will stop repeating myself. I promise. I will not repeat mysef anymore. I promi.... Dang it. I have decided to hit the anonymous button though so folks won't know who to be mad at if they don't agree with me.

Craig

Wait.... I hit anon but everyone can still see my name. I need to think this one through and figure out how this works.

Hey Michelle,

As far as misspellings and poor grammer goes, if you are ever guilty of same you have a free pass. Being an Aggie lets you off the hook. Just kidding but I have heard that if we are going to be sending all of our money to UT for the next four to seven years we have a right, no, obligation to take shots at Aggies when ever possible.

Ha ha, Craig! I knew you would comment on the Fightin' Texas Aggies!! Whoop! And I am so proud of Ryan even if he chooses that ugly burnt orange color over maroon. :)

Is the sign removal any indication there is a new chief in town? Vern, please annouce the name of the interim chief. Please say gatherings for sunset will not be the next bust. Do we have to lock our doors now, too?

Our slice of Paradise has been diced to pieces. Just where do we stand now?

Anonymous said...

We stand on the road to recovery..and change...now that Paul and Tina are gone.

Anonymous said...

Paul is gone? I swear I see him coming to work every day. He will be such an asset for the new chief. If the tax paying citizen got their way Tina would be back as chief.

Anonymous said...

Pardon me..now that Tina ran like i doggy with her tail between her legs...(aka "punked out") and Paul did the same...we are on the road to a recovered police department!

Anonymous said...

Hey anon at 1:06 Paul didn't run and neither did Tina. There is alot to consider when you are 16 months from retirement and are under attack guilty or not. He made a decision that he felt was in his best interest financially. He will now not have any problems with his retirement and is getting paid 95% of his salary to do half the job he was doing. I doubt anyone that would actually type (aka "punked out") and ran like i doggy, would understand all that he had to consider in a short amount of time. Paul and Tina won that battle. The City lost all the way around. I know you don't get it. Thats OK.
